About Us

Kontik Consultancy is founded by Aydın Kontik to share his unique knowledge and experience in food and beverage technology. 25 years of experience in food industry addition to his mechanics and electronics engineering bachelor degree enables him to provide high quality, effective and innovative consulting services.

Aydın Kontik has worked for various well known food and beverage brands of world and of Turkey. His working life began with Tamek Gıda San. ve Tic. A.Ş., one of the leading food companies in Turkey. He was able to observe and gain knowledge on fruit juice and canned food production including initial line selection, operation and maintenance and malfunctioning problems on the line. After Tamek, he transferred to Pepsi, world leading beverage company where he was able to gather knowledge about production of fizzy drinks.

His successful career resumed as technical manager in Erikli Su ve Meşrubat A.Ş., leading bottled water brand in Turkey. His innovative approach and quality assurance guidance in production made him one of the key players during the rapid rise of Erikli’s market share in 2000s. As a technical manager he managed the production of 1-litre bottle for the first time in Turkey. Moreover, current designs of 5, 8 and 10 litres bottles were prepared under his management. The design of the bottles were so optimal in stability and weight that Nestle has also been using the same design after its acquision of Erikli. Additionally, Aydın Kontik also managed the 36.000 bottles/hour production line project which was the highest capacity line of its time in Turkey. Together with technical managerial responsibilities, he managed new investment projects like Erikli Barakfakih factory construction project, Bursa Erikli Plaza project, Bursa Odunluk Erikli distribution depot and 15.000 m2 closed area factory construction project in Bursa Organize Sanayi area.

After Erikli’s acquisition by Nestle, he continued his career in Aslanoba Food. There, he supervised 40.000 m 2 closed area Juss Fruit Juice factory project including initial construction project, production line selection and operation and maintenance. The production lines installed were 20.000 bottles/hour fast Tetrapak filling line and different shape TGA line which were used for the first time in Turkey. Contemporaneously, he standardised the production process with ISO 9001:2008 – Quality Management System, OHSAS 18001:2007 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 22000:2005 – Food Safety Management System and ISO 14001:2004 – Environment Management System certificates.

During his 6 years in Aslanoba, he successfully managed various investment projects. He believed vertical integration should be the key approach for safe and economical beverage production so he started concentrated fruit production. Afterwards he started plantation project which was consisting of purchasing and preparement of appropriate lands and selection and reproduction of rootstock plant. He was also in charge of various projects like production of Nesquik -milky drinks- for Nestle, construction and management of Istanbul Aslanoba Plaza -eleven floors smart building-, meat combina and slaughter house including packaging and storage facility construction and opeartion projects. He also started rehabilitation facility project for 6.000 sheep and goats and farm project with 1200 bovine capacity.
